The Art of Ben Shahn's Lettering

Laurie Silverstein will lead a two-hour workshop introducing the folk alphabets of the artist and graphic designer, Ben Shahn.

We will discuss tools and materials and view two styles of lettering that Shahn created. In addition to using ready made tools, we will create our own folded pens to use as we experiment with the letterforms.

The workshop will be held the morning of  Saturday, April 22, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. before our Writes of Spring event begins.

A suggested supply list will be sent upon registration.

The class size is limited to 20 and pre-registration is required. The  cost of the class is $30, half of which will go to PCS's year-long series of events to benefit Project HOME.
